Founded in 1998, The I AM Foundation is a registered 501c3 educational non-profit whose mission is gifting books and music to children and adults worldwide. We stand for children and building their self-esteem and literacy. We believe every child in the world is important and valuable regardless of who they are or where they live. We know that when children discover their value, they bring their value to the world.

Our name "The I AM Foundation" was chosen because for us "I AM" is an affirmation that helps children and adults to value positive aspects of themselves.   

We are not affiliated with any religious institution or organization. We are sensitive to the needs of the main stream public and do our very best to only gift materials that are appropriate for it. 

We gift our signature book, The I AM! Affirmation Book: Discovering The Value of Who You Are, to children primarily in pre-k through fourth grade at public and private schools, hospitals and organizations worldwide. But many adults like to read this book, too. The most common response when they read it is "Where was this book when I was a child?" There are over 157,000 copies of this book in print and it has been translated into 24 different languages, with over 1,100,000 total books and products distributed around the world.

On the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day 2010, we published our second book in The I AM! Affirmation Series entitled I Am The Earth: Positive Affirmations for Loving Our Planet. The renowned artist Mauricio Hoffman is the illustrator.

 
Book Gifting Missions. Our domestic and international Book Gifting Missions are supported by sponsors who donate the funds to print, ship and distribute The I AM! Affirmation Book and other donated children's books. For different countries, we translate The I AM! Affirmation Books in the language of the country alongside English so children can read both languages.

Financial Information. Financially we are supported by our generous Annual Points of Light Campaign Donors, individual donors, and corporate sponsors. We keep our overhead very low in order to give the best return on investment back to our donors and sponsors. We are able to gift a gently used book for every one dollar donation and a brand new book for every five dollar donation made to our program.
