Book Gifting Missions around the Globe

On Thursday evening, April 2nd, 2009, I AM Book Gifting Ambassador Bruce Descoteaux and I met the First Lady of Tijuana, Mexico at The Gente Bien Magazine Saks Fifth Avenue Event in San Diego. Alicia Llanos De Ramos was very gracious in receiving us and her personal copy of The I AM! Affirmation Book. We shared with First Lady Alicia that we would be doing a book gifting mission to the Rancho De Sus Nino’s Orphanage in Tijuana. The First Lady really has a heart for the children and was very interested in our sincere intent on helping to build the self-esteem in the children of Tijuana and the world. We will be contacting her staff to work with her on other orphanages throughout Tijuana. Gente Bien Magazine will be doing a story on our visit to the Orphanage. As many of you know, The I AM Foundation’s vision is to connect with 30 First Lady’s around the world. This is our 3rd meeting with a First Lady. Other’s include The First Lady of Sri Lanka and The First Lady of Vukovar, Croatia.

Within two days after arriving from my native Sri Lanka I once again had the privilege of going on a Book Gifting Mission with The I AM Foundation. On Friday, April 17th, 2009, I assisted them and their sponsor Aero Financial with gifting The I AM! Affirmation Book: Discovering The Value of Who You Are to the orphans in need at Rancho de Sus Ninos Orphanage in Tecate, Mexico. My special thanks to all of you who support The I AM Foundation in the many ways that you do. Remember, anything you do for this foundation you do for the vulnerable and needy kids of the world.
I am proud to be part of The I AM Foundation for the last four years. I am helping them with their vision that builds the self-esteem and literacy in millions of children around the world.

On September 4th 2007, Carlos Legaspy, the owner of Cafe One Three in San Diego, took Steve and Marilyn to Mexico City to meet with Ambassador Carlos Garcia De Alba Z., who is the Director General of International Relations and the Undersecretary of Education. Ambassador Garcia works with the First Lady of Mexico, who received a copy of The I AM! Affirmation Book English-Spanish Edition from Carlos Legaspy.
Our meeting took place at one of the historic presidential offices in Mexico City. We met with Mr. Garcia and his staff member Iliana and discussed developing a pilot program in which the Mexican Government would be gifted the printing rights of The I AM! Affirmation Book English-Spanish Edition for distribution to children who live in the poorest areas of Mexico.
